Baicheng Normal College is seated in Baicheng City, commonly known as the City of Cranes, where the Kerqin Prairie and Songliao Plain meet in the west of Jilin Province. Baicheng Normal College, founded in 1958, directly under the jurisdiction of Jilin provincial government, is an institution of higher learning authorized by the Ministry of Education of China. Now it has developed into a regional, multi-disciplines undergraduate institution, taking teacher training as dominance, some other disciplines as subsidiary. The college occupies an area of 564,000 square meters, including 270,000 square meters for buildings. Currently, Baicheng Normal College has enrolled students from 25 provinces, cities and regions of our country, with over 8000 full-time undergraduates and students with professional training.
